Proof of vaccine, rapid COVID-19 test required to gain entry into Nashville North

CALGARY — With the Calgary Stampede getting underway this week, there will be lots of people looking to get in some well-needed two-stepping, but if you’re planning on heading to Nashville North, there will be some things to note before heading in.

To be able to gain entry to the party tent, you will need to provide proof that you have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, or you will have to take a rapid COVID-19 test.

If you are showing proof of a COVID-19 vaccine, you will need to make sure that it has been at least two weeks since you received the shot.

Organizers say the quickest way to get you into the tent will be to have your proof of vaccination ready to go with either the physical form or a photo of the record.

You can also use the Alberta MyHealth App.

There are some other changes to be aware of before heading to Nashville North.

The location has now been changed to the heart of the Stampede Park, next to the Grandstand.

There also will no longer be those dreaded lineups to get into the tent. Instead, there will be a digital queue that will allow you to roam around until it’s your turn in line.

Locations to sign up for the pre-qualification include: Inside each gate entry (Stampede Main, Olympic, Erlton) and at Nashville North.

There will be a QR code you can scan with your phone that will send you a text when it’s your turn to part.

For returning visitors, your process will be expedited using your previous proof of vaccination.
