Boil water advisory in effect for Canmore and area

CANMORE – There is a boil water advisory in place for Canmore and surrounding areas.
Apparently, high turbidity turned it brown Thursday.
Officials in town say the water is safe for hand washing and laundry, but your lines may need to be flushed and the water boiled before cooking or drinking it.
They also recommend not brushing your teeth or using ice cubes unless the water is boiled.
The advisory includes the Harvie Heights commercial area and Dead Man’s Flats.
The problem seems to have come from some sort of maintenance being performed.
