“Hazy conditions are going to persist at least through Thursday,” said Meteorologist Michael Kuss.
“The air quality has deteriorated already a little bit today, and we are going to see continued hazy conditions due to the wildfire smoke, but It’s not going to be incredibly oppressive.”
He added the haze shouldn’t deteriorate the air quality too much more.

“We are expecting to see that air quality remain in the moderate range, and I don’t think it will slip into the poor category today or tomorrow.”
We should see a temporary break from the smokiness towards the end of the week.
A cold front is expected which should shift the winds from west and southwest to northwesterly.

“There’s not much in the way of wildfires in northern B.C. or northwestern Alberta,” Kuss explained.
Some experts suggest wildfire smoke could be more toxic to your body than air pollution.
They recommend you not overexert yourself in these conditions, avoid working out in the outdoors.
The same goes for pets–make sure your dogs aren’t doing anything too strenuous outside either.
