Crews fighting grass fire near Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump

FORT MACLEOD – Fire crews are on scene at a southern Alberta landmark because of a grass fire.
Pictures posted to Twitter show flames at the Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump site west of Fort Macleod.
The photos show charred grass right in the middle of the site on the side of the cliff and some nearby brush up in flames.
On the Alberta government fire website, that area of southwestern Alberta is listed as being under extreme fire risk because of a lack of moisture.
