Students and staff will be expected to use a daily checklist to determine if they should stay home, and nobody should go to school if they feel sick.
There will also be enhanced cleaning measures, classroom cohorts for K-6 students, and no visitors allowed at the start of the year.

Some restrictions are also being lifted though — including allowing for lockers and change rooms to be used, band and sports activities to proceed, and limited field trips allowed.
“As the school year begins, we will be monitoring the situation closely and following the direction of health authorities to ensure that we are doing everything possible to minimize the spread of COVID-19 in our schools and workplaces,” said Chief Superintendent Christopher Usih in the return to school note.
