RCMP investigating ‘suspicious death’ of Calgary man

DRAYTON VALLEY, Alta. (CityNews) ─ RCMP are seeking the public’s help to assist in the investigation into the “suspicious death” of a 40-year-old man from Calgary.

Drayton Valley RCMP say the victim, Jonathan James Paul, was dropped off outside a local hospital with life-threatening injuries on Monday shortly after 8 p.m. He succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

Police say the victim’s family have been notified.

After reviewing surveillance footage, RCMP have determined Paul was dropped off in the hospital parking lot. The vehicle then drove away immediately.

Drayton Valley RCMP say they are looking for the victim’s vehicle, a maroon-coloured 2005 Nissan Armada SUV with Alberta licence place CKC6763.

Police are looking for any pertinent information from the public, including the location of Paul’s vehicle, the identities of those responsible or the identities of the people who dropped him off at the hospital.
