Private security firm hired for Alberta’s top doctor during third wave of pandemic

CALGARY — A private security firm was hired for Alberta’s top doctor during the third wave of the pandemic.

Alberta Health confirmed to 660 NEWS on Thursday it made the decision in May following a threat assessment where it was determined she required security services.

Dr. Deena Hinshaw has faced heated criticism for months from anti-lockdown protestors for the decisions made during the pandemic.
