21 Calgary schools have at least one COVID-19 case: student advocacy group

CALGARY – Dozens of schools in Calgary and across the province are dealing with an increase in COVID-19 cases despite public health measures aimed at curbing the spread of the virus.
Data released by Support our Students (SOS) Alberta shows 21 Calgary schools have at least one case of the virus, and two schools have an outbreak classification.
Provincially, there are 60 schools that have at least one case of the virus, and 12 with outbreaks.

Those numbers have not been verified by the provincial government, it was compiled by SOS Alberta.
As more and more younger people are being admitted to the intensive care unit due to COVID-19, Alberta Health is also releasing some concerning stats.
The health authority notes in the past four months, 153 Albertans under the age of 40 were sent to the ICU, and only one person was vaccinated.
