2021 Municipal Election breakdown: Ward 9

CALGARY – Seventeen communities between Renfrew in the north, Fairview and Ogden in the south, and Inglewood in the east make up Calgary’s Ward 9.
As the city sprawls, many urban communities like Inglewood and Ramsay are seeing great investment, but they are also fighting to keep aging facilities, like pools, open.

Caitlin Flegel, president the Forest Lawn Community Association, is hoping to create a place for its residents to gather together.
“One thing I’d love to see extended is parks and green space being revitalized,” she explained.
“Many of our parks and green spaces are past their life cycle, and I think it is really important, especially post-COVID, to have meaningful places for our community members to gather and one that is inclusive of all of the different cultural backgrounds that we have in Forest Lawn area.”
