4.1 magnitude earthquake strikes in central Alberta

Some Albertans felt the earth move under their feet on Wednesday night.

According to Earthquakes Canada, a 4.1 magnitude quake struck at 9:23 p.m. at a depth of 10 kilometres in the Rocky Mountain House area west of Red Deer.

People in the area reported some light shaking for between two to five seconds in the surrounding area.

There have been no reports of any injuries or damage.
