Calgary drug bust yields nearly $400,000 of drugs, cash, stoeln property

A drug trafficking investigation in Calgary has resulted in the seizure of nearly $400,000 worth of drugs, stolen property and cash.

Police say the investigation began in late August after they were made aware of a home in Panorama Hills that may have been involved in drug trafficking.

On Oct. 19, a man was driving from Calgary to Brooks, when he was stopped by police.

Following a search warrant, a large amount of drugs were seized, including around $160,000 worth of methamphetamine and $10,000 worth of fentanyl.

On Sept. 29, a second search warrant was executed on a home along Pantego Rise NW, and the following items were seized:

  • 881.3 grams of fentanyl
  • 370.5 grams of methamphetamine
  • 673.8 grams of phenacetin
  • 31.2 grams of MDMA
  • 150 grams of cocaine
  • 97 pills of Xanax
  • 700 pills of Percocet
  • 16.9 grams of buprenorphine hydrochloride
  • 245.1grams of cannabis
  • $11,205.00 in cash
  • 12-gauge shotgun
  • A stolen Toyota Rav 4
  • A stolen motorbike
  • Two stolen bicycles
  • 80 pieces of Government identification

 

Police say $362,660 worth of illicit drugs were seized in the investigation.

As a reult, three people are facing drugs and other crime-related charges.
