The City of Calgary, in partnership with Alberta Health, says it will be extending its mobile vaccination outreach program.
The program, which began in late September, looked to bring COVID-19 vaccines to those who couldn’t conveniently access them and remove any barriers that would keep someone from getting their shot.
“Over the past six weeks, our mobile stations have been in every quadrant of Calgary and we’ve provided over 1,400 first, second and third does for those eligible,” said Calgary Emergency Management Agency (CEMA) Chief Sue Henry in a release.

“Every vaccination is one more person less likely to experience serious effects from COVID-19. Vaccination is our best way to combat this pandemic and reduce the strain on our medical care system.”
The City says this program is now being extended to further help those who are struggling with barriers and also to support the increased population now able to get their third dose.
Mobile vaccination clinics will be spread across Calgary, and a schedule can be found here.
These clinics will be open every day of the week, except Remembrance Day, until Dec. 5.
