Northern lights make another appearance over Calgary

Green, violet and pink hues dance across the Alberta night sky. As Jasmine Vickaryous reports, some Albertans have been lucky enough to catch the explosion of colour from the supercharged aurora borealis.

Albertans have been incredibly lucky over the last few weeks with the northern lights making several appearances over the Calgary area.

The green streaks in the sky were visible again Thursday morning as some people woke up and got ready for work.

Jason Hampton was just one of several Albertans posting snapshots of the aurora borealis.

Some people on social media say they were most surprised to see purple in the light show, on top of the normal green.
