Albertans have been incredibly lucky over the last few weeks with the northern lights making several appearances over the Calgary area.
The green streaks in the sky were visible again Thursday morning as some people woke up and got ready for work.
Jason Hampton was just one of several Albertans posting snapshots of the aurora borealis.

Constantly checking on the Aurora charts since last Thursday finally paid off! I only wish I was able to drive out of the city, but even this last night’s Aurora Borealis was spectacular at 1:30am!#AuroraBorealis #NorthernLights #CoronalMassEjection #yyc #calgary #ab pic.twitter.com/AvsQUvqZVC

Some people on social media say they were most surprised to see purple in the light show, on top of the normal green.
