George Chahal sworn in as Calgary-Skyview MP

Former Calgary city councilor George Chahal has officially been sworn in as the MP for Calgary-Skyview.
Chahal posting on Twitter that he was sworn in on Friday morning.
Originally planning to seek re-election for city hall, Chahal changed gears when he was chosen as the Liberal candidate for the riding.
He has been embroiled in controversy since his election after footage surfaced of him allegedly removing a rival’s campaign flyer from a mailbox.
Chahal was elected with about 42 per cent of the vote, winning the riding from Conservative incumbent Jag Sahota.
