Expect delays at Alberta-Montana border crossing

If you’re planning to head south, you should expect some delays at the Coutts-Sweetgrass border crossing heading into Montana.
According to U.S. customs, there were 40-minute delays Monday morning with three lanes open to traffic.

There were lineups at midnight when Canadians were permitted to drive across.

Anyone driving into the States has to show proof of vaccination.
The U.S. is not requiring foreign nationals who are visiting by land to show proof of a negative test, but Canada does. And that’s deterring some Canadians from visiting their southern neighbours.
