Two people dead, another injured in crash on Macleod Trail

Two people are dead after a crash on Macleod Trail at Fraser Gate in the southwest.

Emergency crews were called to the scene around 5:20 p.m.

Police say a third person was taken to hospital and they are in critical life-threatening condition.

Calgary Police Services have also confirmed another person is in custody following the collision.

We can now confirm two people have died and a third is in critical condition following a serious collision on Macleod Trail. One person in custody. Further details will be shared once a preliminary investigation is complete. Closures will remain in effect throughout the night.
