Calgary police hope somebody has some information relating to a serious assault that happened downtown earlier this month.
At around 11 a.m. on Dec. 4, police were called to the City Hall LRT platform for reports of an assault. It is believed the incident leading to the assault on the platform happened on the train that was approaching City Hall.
Police say a man and a woman who were travelling on the train got into an argument with someone else they did not know. When the pair got off the train at City Hall, the suspect followed and attacked both the man and the woman.
Surveillance footage does show the suspect and they hope someone in the city has tips on who it is.
He is described as between the ages of 20 to 25 years old, approximately 5’6″ tall, with black hair and a black beard. At the time of the offence, the suspect was wearing a black jacket, grey scarf, glasses, and a black backpack.
