Alberta father turns himself in after search launched for missing boy

A father has turned himself and his three-year-old son into Alberta RCMP after a search was launched for the pair in a case of parental abduction.
The Wetaskiwin RCMP had issued an appeal for help in locating the father and son after the man failed to return his young child to his mother north of Red Deer on Christmas Eve.
Update Dec. 27, 2021, at 10:30 p.m. Malin NYHUS turned himself and his son into the Wetaskiwin RCMP Detachment. Both are unharmed.

The man was, at one point, believed to have been heading to southern Alberta or even possibly B.C. with his boy.
Police say the young boy was unharmed, as was his father, and has since been reunited with his mother.
