Police were called to the area along 17 St. and 12 Ave S.W. where they found a man with a gunshot wound.
Police and paramedics performed first aid but were not able to save him.
The Calgary Police Service (CPS) is asking anyone who may have seen a small black or dark grey SUV in the area around the time of the shooting to call them.

SECOND SHOOTING
EMS say they responded to another shooting around 4:45 p.m. near Castleridge Boulevard and Westwinds Drive N.E. where a man walked into a gas station after being shot.
Upon arrival, emergency crews learned the man had been driving through the area when it’s believed a road rage incident took place resulting in the man being shot at.
Police say the shots came from a dark grey truck.
The victim was then taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police are continuing to investigate this incident.
At this point, police do not think the shootings are related.
