It looks like most of Alberta’s public health restrictions could be lifted early next week, as early as Tuesday.
Premier Jason Kenney is expected to announce Saturday whether the province will officially move onto the next phase of the recovery plan on March 1.
If Alberta goes forward with this next step it means virtually all restrictions would be lifted.
Damaging restrictions should not last one day longer than necessary to prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed.
We must learn to live with Covid, and get our lives back to normal.

That includes moving away from indoor face mask requirements, capacity limits on large sports and entertainment venues, and a mandatory work from home order.
The premier has said lifting those restrictions depends on COVID-related hospitalizations coming down. Estimated COVID-19 case numbers provided by the province on Feb. 23 show 1,357 people were in the hospital with the virus. The update also said there were 10,626 active cases in Alberta, as well as 92 people in the ICU.
