RCMP say a semi and pick up truck collided northbound on the highway in what is said to have been a result of road rage.
The crash resulted in the semi jack-knifing, sending both vehicles across the median and into the southbound lanes.
The driver of the pick-up, a 49-year-old man from Langdon, was charged with one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle.
He is scheduled to appear in Airdrie Provincial Court in April.
