Airdrie road rage incident leads to crash north of Calgary

Police have charged a 49-year-old man from Langdon after a road rage incident led to a crash on Highway 2 Tuesday morning.

Around 10:40 a.m., officers responded to a crash south of the QE-II, just north of Veterans Boulevard.

RCMP say a semi and pick up truck collided northbound on the highway in what is said to have been a result of road rage.

The crash resulted in the semi jack-knifing, sending both vehicles across the median and into the southbound lanes.

The driver of the pick-up, a 49-year-old man from Langdon, was charged with one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle.

He is scheduled to appear in Airdrie Provincial Court in April.
