Another person in Airdrie became the victim of bear spray last week during what police say was a car theft in progress.
On March 1 around 8 p.m., RCMP were called after someone had allegedly been assaulted with a weapon along 4 Avenue.

Police learned the victim, who lived on the street, came up to a man who appeared to be stealing a car across the street from his home.
When he approached the man and asked him what he was doing, police say he was bear sprayed. The suspect then fled in the car.
The suspect is described as having a slim build and was wearing a black mask, dark coloured hoodie and overcoat, and was wearing a hat or toque at the time.
The stolen vehicle is a blue Honda civic coupe with dark tinted windows and a red dashcam.
