Police respond to shooting Friday night in the city’s northeast

Calgary police responding to reports of a shooting Friday night near eastbound 16th Avenue and Deerfoot Trail.

Police say when emergency crews arrived they found a man’s body.

Police also holding a scene they believe is related to the shooting in the 1600 block of 2nd Street northwest.

There are no suspects in custody at this time and no word on a motive.

The homicide unit is investigating.
