For the first time since the 1992/93 NHL season, the Calgary Flames could have a 100 point player.
Johnny Gaudreau enters play Tuesday night against the Seattle Kraken with 99 points, and if he manages to hit the 100 point milestone, his mother and father will be in the stands to see it.
Will it be a milestone night at the Saddledome?
Johnny Gaudreau is a point away from 100 on the season. His folks will be in the stands — a perfect script.
Nikita Zadorov is sitting at 99 career points.
Tyler Toffoli needs three helpers for 200 career assists.

“They haven’t been here in a long time, they are super excited,” Gaudreau said. “It’s been a while since they have been here at the [Saddle]dome so, they’re excited, I’m excited, it’s going to be a fun couple of weeks.”

Gaudreau’s mother Jane posted a tweet with a selfie and the Calgary skyline in the background saying it’s been over two years since she and her husband have seen their son play in Calgary.

“As a kid, I just wanted to play in the NHL, I didn’t think I’d ever–I never dreamed of that, I didn’t think anything of that,” Johnny Gaudreau said. “I just was hoping I could play in the NHL someday, and as I got older, a little bit closer at the end of my college career–and I kind of thought maybe it was a possibility, and I got the opportunity to do it. A lot of guys are playing well this year, and a lot of people are having career years, so it’s been fun to watch and be a part of.”
No Flames player has reached 100 points in a regular season since Theo Fleury in 1992/93.
