Calgary, Edmonton gas prices among lowest in Canada
If you’re worried about the price of gas, you can be glad you live in Alberta, as prices are sky-high just about everywhere else.
According to GasBuddy, the average price at the pumps for regular in Calgary is up nearly another 10 cents from last week to $1.63 per litre, though the national average is $1.90 per litre.
Edmonton’s average is sitting at just under $1.60 per litre, while in Vancouver, the average is a record-breaking $2.20 per litre.

Alberta drivers got a bit of a break in April when the province temporarily dropped its 13 cent fuel tax, however, the federal carbon tax rose by 11 cents.

Premier Jason Kenney previously said the temporary removal of the tax will stay in effect so long as the price of Western Texas Intermediate stays over $90 USD.
The United Conservative Party says the government will see about $100 million less in fuel tax revenue for each of the first three months and will revisit the plan in July.
Meanwhile, in Toronto, drivers are dealing with prices of $2 per litre or more, and analysts predict that could go up even more by Victoria Day.
In Montreal, prices crossed the $2-a-litre mark for regular over the weekend, with the average hovering around $2.03 Monday.
