Bear warning issued by Alberta Parks after cyclist encountered grizzly

If your weekend plans are taking you to Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, be aware as there is a bear in the area.
Alberta Parks says earlier this week a grizzly bear “bluff charged” a cyclist on the road near Highway 40 south of the Winter gate closure.
An advisory was issued for the area.

Although there is a warning for this specific area, Alberta Parks says given the time of year, bear encounters can happen anywhere in Kananaskis.
