Red Lot viewing party cancelled for Wednesday’s Battle of Alberta due to wind

The Red Lot Viewing Party has officially been cancelled for Game 1 of the Battle of Alberta.
According to the Calgary Flames, the event is no longer a go Wednesday due to extremely high winds at the Stampede Park.
“This decision was made out of an abundance of caution for our patrons and we appreciate your understanding in this matter,” the team wrote on Twitter, hours before puck drop.
Due to extremely high and damaging winds at Stampede Park the Red Lot Community Viewing Party will unfortunately be cancelled for the evening.

The Flames are facing off against the Edmonton Oilers at home for the first game of the second-round of the NHL playoffs.
