The aim of the affordable housing project is to support those with low income struggling to find a stable place to live, the government says.

“Forward Housing’s goal was to build a community in Calgary where low-income households of all ages, abilities, nations, and experiences could safely and affordably build their lives. That mission has been accomplished. With the financial support of all three levels of government and the private sector, we can truly say that Bishop’s Manor was built for the community by the community,” said Gary McNamara, CEO of Forward Housing

“I was so pleased to visit Bishop’s Manor along with my friend and colleague, MLA for Calgary-Klein Jeremy Nixon, to thank our community partners and Forward Housing for this impressive affordable housing complex,” tweeted Josephine Pon, minister of seniors and housing and MLA for Calgary-Beddington.
