Have you heard Calgary’s official playoff anthem?
It was written by Akrit Jawanda also known by the alias as Rapper “True Mamba”. He has been a diehard Flames fan his whole life.
I've officially signed a licensing deal with the Calgary Flames! The organization will now be able to play my song "WE LIT!" in the ScotiaBank Saddledome and on their social media outlets for the entirety of the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs. ???????? @NHLFlames @HkyNightPunjabi pic.twitter.com/Aibg4X2SMt

Jawanda came up with the song in 2019 but he made some revisions and the 2022 version has been licensed by the Flames.
“Definitely you know I felt like I climbed a mountain to get there right. And so, it finally kind of came true, the dream came true and it meant a lot to me just as a diehard fan you know is affiliated with the Flames growing up and watching the team your entire life,” said Jawanda.

He says writing a song has always been something he thought about.
“You know this idea was always in my mind of, ok you know, so there’s been a lot of coverage so that’s great and all. But is there any way of making an original?” said Jawanda.
Next time you are in the dome you might hear We Lit as it’s the official Calgary Flames playoff song.
As an up-and-coming artist, Jawanda says it’s been a dream come true.
“Growing up and watching the team your entire life and then you know having that happen I think it’s amazing. And also, as an artist right, I was able to kind of knock down the door and get myself where I wanted to go.”
We Lit is available on all streaming platforms and the official video is on Youtube.
