Calgary police have released a photo of a suspect in a possible arson investigation, and are appealing to the public to help identify him.
The man was captured on surveillance video moments before an occupied home caught fire in the southeast community of Varsity on May 18.
The Calgary Police Service says thankfully, the people were able to escape the fire uninjured.
Police say it happened around 3:30 a.m., and the video, which was not shared in full to CityNews, allegedly shows the suspect lighting a shed on fire behind the home.
Shortly after, the fire spread to the home itself, leading to extensive damage.

“Investigators also believe the same man may have committed a car prowling in the area before setting the fire,” CPS said.
Police say you should not approach the man if you see him.
