Body found near Morley that of missing Calgary man: police

Police are asking for help from the public to try and figure out how a Calgary man, who was previously reported missing, died.

Cochrane RCMP says officers found the body of a man near Morley, west of Calgary, on Sunday, May 15.

DNA testing identified him as 22-year-old Calgary man Keanan Crane, who was last seen in the northeast community of Whitehorn, on April 11. His family reported him missing two weeks later on April 25.

“Keanan’s family members are devastated by this discovery and believe there are people that may know what happened to him,” said S. Sgt. Sean Gregson with Calgary Police.

“Though his remains were found on the Stoney Nakoda Nation, we know that Keanan resided in Calgary and we encourage anyone with information to come forward to police.”

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police by calling 403-266-1234, or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
