Lisa Jackson from the Emergency Management Branch says some parks are closed.
“Due to the wet and unsafe conditions and localized flooding there are currently provincial park closures for example Bow River campground and Three Sisters campground are closed and there are several provincial recreation areas closed as well. Get information about closures at AlbertaParks.ca,” said Jackson.

Some highways are also closed.
The Highwood pass on highway 40 in Kananaskis Country was closed due to avalanche danger after the area received 65 centimetres of snow.
Jackson says along with all the rain there was also a lot of snow.

“As we mentioned yesterday it was helpful that snowfall developed at the higher elevation so we had as much as 65 centimetres at the Highwood Pass area. So this snow provided relief and really reduced the runoff and helped reduce those flood peaks,” said Jackson.
