Kananaskis Country offering free day pass for National Indigenous Peoples Day

If you’ve been wanting to head out to Kananaskis, this upcoming Tuesday might be a good idea to go.

June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day and Alberta Parks announced it is waiving the K-Country entry cost as a result.

No conservation pass is required.

Typically a day pass would cost $15 per day or $90 per year per vehicle.

The pass was implemented in June 2021 to help pay for conservation, public safety, services, and facilities.
