Calgary man arrested, charged in unprovoked assault on City Hall CTrain station

A suspect believed to be connected to an unprovoked attack on a man at the City Hall CTrain station has been charged with assault causing bodily harm on Tuesday.
On April 18, 2022. a man in his 50s entered a shelter on the City Hall CTrain station, where a man and a woman grabbed him and threw him onto the train tracks leaving him unconscious, they then left the area.
Calgary Police Service (CPS) has identified the suspects related to the incident and asked people for help locating them.
They have arrested and charged 32-year-old Ilya Zianchurin with assault causing bodily harm on Tuesday.
Zianchurin will next appear in court on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022.
CPS is still looking for the woman to discuss her involvement in the incident and is asking for people’s help to locate her.
She is described as approximately 5’8″ tall, with a slim build, and she was wearing a red hooded jacket and black pants.
