Calgary releases new mobile ‘Transit’ app for C-Train commuters

Calgary Transit has transitioned to a new smartphone app.
The transit authority chose the “Transit” app as the new official trip planning app for Calgarians.

“Transit” is used in nearly 300 cities around the world, according to the app developers.
The app allows users to plan their transit journey by offering various options and providing step-by-step directions.
Some of the features of the mobile app include:
- Real-time planning that includes scooters and e-bike options
- Car share vehicles can be located and reserved
- Providing accurate arrival times, transit stop accessibility, and passenger mask use

“Transit” is meant to replace the previous YYC transit app.
It’s available for free on the App Store and Google Play.
