CPS investigating suspicious death after body found in Upper Mount Royal

A man’s death is being deemed suspicious after police found his body in Upper Mount Royal Sunday morning.

Calgary Police Services says officers received a call from a man walking his dog around 9:30 a.m. saying he had found a body in an alley behind the 1100 block of Frontenac Avenue SW.

The circumstances around the man’s death are still unclear. Police say an autopsy will be scheduled for early next week.

People living in the area who have not spoken to police are asked to reach out to investigators. CPS is also looking for CCTV footage from the area.
