Collision between car and police cruiser in Strathmore causes minor injuries: RCMP

Strathmore RCMP say a police cruiser and a civilian vehicle collided at an intersection near the town of Strathmore on Saturday afternoon, causing minor injuries.

Police say the collision happened at the intersection of Highway 817 and Highway 1.

Emergency crews and an RCMP collision analyst were on the scene.

The roads in the area were reopened to traffic in all directions around 5:30 p.m.

“Strathmore RCMP would like to thank the public for their patience while we conducted our investigation,” police said in a statement.
