Where’s your favourite place to raise a glass in Calgary?
The Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC) is toasting some of bars and restaurants with its Best Bar None awards for “efforts to raise the bar on customer service and safety.”
“[Those] who went above and beyond and kind of as recognition and the community between the industry, the city, the police, the fire, and the AGLC in regards to all coming together to promote hospitality in a fun and positive way to reduce the harms to patrons and staff,” said Eric Baich, AGLC’s director of social responsibility.
Baich says there is a checklist of 117 “best practices” for improving safety, ranging from first aid to policy, to adjustments to the property itself.
