Vehicle fire on Deerfoot Trail SE cleared

A fire on the right shoulder of Deerfoot Trail is affecting northbound traffic after 17 Avenue. Volume is backing up. Drivers are told to expect delays. (City of Calgary)

A fire that was affecting northbound traffic on the right shoulder of Deerfoot Trail near 17 Avenue SE has been cleared.

The incident Thursday morning had traffic backed up. However, volume is quickly easing, you are reminded to give extra time on the roads.

You can take Blackfoot Trail or Barlow Trail as alternate routes.
