Fire crews respond to two-alarm fire in Calgary’s N.E. Sunday

Fire crews in Calgary were called to a two-alarm fire Sunday morning for a home that was on fire along Martin Crossing Way N.E.

While fire crews were on their way, they were called to make sure they have enough supplies to extinguish the fire, as the volume of the fire was significant.

Upon arrival, fire crews found two houses on fire and they immediately started their efforts to control it.

They then started looking for people that might be trapped in the two homes. Luckily, people living in the houses had self evacuated prior to the arrival of the Calgary Fire department (CFD).

The two homes are significantly damaged– they were home for 11 adults and two children.

CFD remains on scene to investigate the origin of the incident, Calgary police is also on scene along with Alberta Health Services to help the affected people.
