Calgary southwest crash leaves one man dead

Calgary police are investigating a fatal crash that happened Saturday morning in the southwest of the city.

Police got a call from a woman around 4:30 a.m. near 17 Avenue and 85 Street saying they heard a crash.

A male driver was pronounced dead on the scene after crashing into a pole, police say.

Police add the investigation is still ongoing.
