Calgary Central Library to close Wednesday and Thursday

The Central Library in downtown Calgary is going to be closed for the remainder of Wednesday due to an incident involving a person experiencing a mental-heath crisis.
The library will also be closed Thursday as the incident is investigated, according to a statement from Calgary police.
Due to the public nature of the incident, police are releasing details of the incident to ensure people know there are supports available to those who might be experiencing crises.

The Central Library and Calgary police have been offering support, and crisis counsellors are on site.
For anyone that witnessed the event, police say there are services available to them.
