Woman in her 20s hit by vehicle near Foothills hospital

A woman in her 20s is in hospital after she was struck by a vehicle just outside an entrance to Foothills hospital Thursday morning.
Calgary police say they were called to the intersection of 13 Avenue NW and 29 Street NW around 7:45 a.m.
Paramedics tell CityNews the woman who was hit by the vehicle has serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The person driving the vehicle was also transported to hospital in in stable, non-life-threatening condition.
EMS says an ambulance was leaving Foothills on a transfer call when a passerby flagged them down.
The paramedics stopped to perform basic first response and waited for another EMS unit to get there before continuing on their original call.
