City of Calgary services returned to city hall Wednesday, after it was impacted by fire and water damage due to a break-in.
The city says Fair Entry, Low Income Transit Passes, Tax Advisory Services, and Cashiers have returned to their permanent location on the third floor of the Municipal Building.
A break-in and fire in the early-morning hours of Aug. 2, forced the city to move its services temporarily.
The damage is said to cost upwards of $2.2 million, with 80 per cent being covered by insurance.

Calgary police say a man broke in and caused damage to the building. They say the man was experiencing a mental health crisis when he smashed the glass at the front of the building with what they call “a large-edged weapon” to get inside.
The incident caused water damage and affected several services on the third floor, as the sprinkler system was triggered. The Calgary Fire Department said no injuries were reported.
The Planning and Development Services counter suffered extensive damage during the incident, according to the city, and will remain in its temporary location at the Whitehorn Multi-Services Centre until further notice.
More information can be found on the City of Calgary website, along with calling 311.
