Calgary man charged in Radisson Heights drive-by shooting

A man is facing several gun-related charges in connection to a drive-by shooting that happened in the southeast community of Radisson Heights earlier this month.

Calgary police say they made the arrest with help from Cochrane RCMP.

Officers were called to a home in the 2800 block of 15 Avenue SE for reports of gunshots on Aug. 11, police say.

Investigators say they believe two men were in an argument when one of them left and came back in a truck, shooting at the home from the vehicle. Police add nobody was hurt.

Days later, on Aug. 16, Cochrane RCMP found the truck used in the drive-by shooting in Morley. Officers with Calgary police searched the truck and found a gun inside, at which point they seized the vehicle.

Cochrane RCMP arrested 24-year-old Malik Holloway the next day.

Investigators believe he is also responsible for a separate drive-by shooting in Morley.

Holloway is facing 12 charges, nine of which are gun-related.

Anyone with information about this shooting or gun violence in their community is asked to call police at 403-266-1234 or leave a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
