It’s not something you see every day on your morning commute.
A black horse that was seen running around the city of Calgary Thursday morning has been safely wrangled by police.
The horse was first spotted galloping along 16 Avenue NE, near 52 Street NE around 6 a.m.
It was last seen around the community of Rundle, near Rundlehorn Drive NE.
Callers to CityNews say it was difficult to see the horse running earlier in the day because it was still dark out. However, no crashes or traffic incidents were reported.
Police say they were able to safely rein the animal in, with no injuries reported.
It’s unclear where the horse came from and police say they are trying to find its owner.
