Police say that a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado was driven by a man in his 30s and was heading along Tsuut’ina Trail approaching the overpass near 90 Avenue SW.

The truck left the road and continued on the grass and dirt.

Police say the truck kept moving forward and struck a bridge support, which caused it to rollover toward another column before being shot out towards the highway.

EMS says one person died at the scene and that no one was transported to hospital.

Police say that drugs, speed, and alcohol were not factors in his death.

Investigators had shut down the road for several hours while they looked into what happened and cleared the scene.

People were asked to avoid the area and find alternate routes.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call police at 403-266-1234 or leave a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
