Calgary police are warning about phony text messages going around claiming to be from the City of Calgary or the Calgary Parking Authority (CPA).
Police say they “received many inquiries from the public” about the texts, and say they are scam attempts.

“Please DO NOT respond, provide personal information or access the link. These messages are NOT legitimate and should be deleted immediately,” a tweet from Calgary Police reads.
The CPA says links in the scam messages lead to a payment page asking for your credit card information.
ALERT: Text scam re: overdue ticket payment.
Texts link to a payment screen asking for credit info.
It’s NOT the CPA. Do not respond or access the link.
