Residents in the Inglewood neighbourhood are growing tired of protestors that have been lining 9 Avenue for weeks and staged a counter-protest Thursday.
The protestors have been seen holding anti-vaccine and anti-Trudeau signs as well as a ‘Don’t Tread on Me’ flag otherwise known as the Gadsden flag.
Over a dozen protestors have reportedly been in the area for weeks and days.
As a result, the Inglewood counter-protestors set up on the other side of 9 Avenue at 12 Street, claiming they’ve had enough of the protestors blocking sidewalks and impeding businesses for reasons known only to them.
Inglewood Business Improvement Area shared a tweet that shows a crowd with signs shouting at the protestors at Spolumbo’s across the street to “go away.”
The residents and businesses in our community have had enough of the protesters that block sidewalks and impede businesses for some reason only known to them. @cityofcalgary refuses to deliver an injunction. @GlobalCalgary @CTVCalgary @CBCCalgary @citynewscalgary #yyc pic.twitter.com/w38Y0TcGVR

One user on Twitter has asked Ward 9 councillor Gian-Carlo Carra to “do something.”

From the footage shared on Twitter, a handful of protestors gathered outside the deli, smaller than their outings during the protest marches through downtown and 17 Avenue SW earlier this year.
