Water quality alert in town of Three Hills

The town of Three Hills northeast of Calgary is under a critical water quality alert due to a number of watermain breaks.
Alberta’s emergency alert says the drinking water for the town may be unsafe to use.
In an update released Friday at 6 p.m., a boil water advisory that was in place has been removed south of Main Street. The advisory remains north of Main Street.

The province says the water is still safe to shower and bathe in.

People in the affected are being asked to bring tap water to a rapid rolling boil for one minute prior to use, or to drink bottled water.
Boil water before drinking until further notice.
